Threshold Labs Explore Jolt

Infrastructure for AI that works in real computing environments.

Threshold Labs builds the infrastructure that lets AI systems safely interact with real computing environments. Our first product, Jolt, connects AI coding agents to developers' own machines and cloud workspaces, with the developer in control.

From suggestions to work that gets done.

Most AI coding tools still stop at advice. The next step is agents that can do the work: read a project, change files, run commands and check the result. That only works if the path from agent to machine is built with control in mind.

before

Agents that suggest

Code is generated somewhere else. The developer copies it in, runs it, and reports back what happened.

now

Agents that execute

Agents work inside real environments, through an execution layer that keeps the developer in charge of what is allowed.

Threshold Labs focuses on that layer: execution infrastructure, control, and the developer environments agents need to reach.

Products

Jolt is our first product. The company site is built to list more as they are announced.

Jolt Early access

The execution layer between AI coding agents and developers' compute. Jolt connects agents to real local and cloud development environments so they can do development work while you keep control.

  • AI coding agent execution
  • Local and cloud environments
  • Project inspection
  • File editing
  • Command execution
  • Testing
  • Developer control over what agents can do

Principles behind what we build.

Developer control

The developer decides what an agent may do in their environment.

Secure execution

Agent actions run through a controlled layer, not directly against your machine.

Real environments

Agents work with actual projects, tools and test suites, not mock sandboxes.

Provider independence

We aim to work with different AI coding agents rather than tie developers to one.

Observable actions

What an agent does should be visible to the developer who owns the environment.

Open integration architecture

We design for integrations so agents and environments can connect through clear interfaces.

These are the principles guiding our work. Jolt is in early access and capabilities are still being built and tested, so details may change.

Founders

Controlled early access

We are building and testing Jolt with a limited group.

Jolt is available through controlled early access while we build and test it. Access is opened gradually.
